Fave Quote: "Sometimes the tragedy is not the love that doesn't last but the one that does"
The Blurb:" When New York Journalist Natasha Bernstein loses her job and discovers her fiance has been keeping a dark secret, her world collapses. Turning to her family, she takes inspiration from her formidable grandmother Esther, Who runs a community center in downtown Manhattan. As she starts to rebuild her life, Natasha's friendship with Rafi- The enigmatic architect working on Esther's center- restores her sense of wonder at the world and her faith in who she is.
But when Rafi and Natasha take a trip to Jerusalem, they are plunged into a story far deeper then their own. Here, Questions of family and loyalty mean more then life itself and they must ask themselves what they are ultimately prepared to fight for.
In a divided world, is it history or love that makes us who we are?"
My Thoughts: Before we start I would just like to say a big thank you to the Publisher for sending me this book to review. Just reading the blurb on the back got me hooked and I was interested in finding out how this story would go. I must admit I don't read that much Contemporary/Romance but this book was different to all the others I have read for a start most authors shy away from major political and Religious issue this book tackles them head on from the perspective of two Americans who are from different backgrounds and for me thats what i love about this book it does tackle issues that are relevant to today. In the first half of this book we meet Natasha a New York Journalist who looses her job and finds out that her Fiance Josh has a secret which forces Natasha to rethink what she wants from life so she seeks advice from Esther her Grandmother who has a really heartbreaking story in this book and this is were she meets Rafi who is an architect and they seem to hit it off pretty well and after meeting up again on a night out a Romance begins. A few months later we catch up with Rafi and Natasha in a relationship but having a holiday in Jerusalem and because they are from different backgrounds the dynamic begins to change between the pair they are forced to look at some pretty dark stuff that no fault of there own that there family's had to go through and how there parents came to be in America. I loved the fact that this book is set in two different countries as the development of Rafi and Natasha is very different there perspective and personalities are different when they are in New York they are carefree they don't know too much about the past and then when they get into Jerusalem and find out about whats going on its there personalities change from being carefree kids to growing up and being adults and looking at life in a different way. We don't really get to know every Charcture espaclley Natasha's parents and sister it was very hard to form an attachment when I didn't know very much about them and what drives there motives to the things they did. I loved Esther's development as a chracture is brilliant but I just wish the other Chractures like Natasha parents and Sisters were bit more expanded upon as i thought Rachel would be brilliant to read about. There is a Plot twist and I loved it towards the end of the book it was great made me want to cry. This book is a great read for anyone who loves a different take on the Romance side of things and how two different people love each other and not let the past or religion get in the way it deffiantly makes you think afterwards when you have closed the book. I give this book 4/5 stars I enjoyed it very much and I look forward to read more from the Author. Its a heartwarming book and I hope more Authors can tackle issues like the ones in this book.
Thanks Again to the Publisher for sending me this book to read and review

RHIReviews Stormbreaker By Anthony Horowitz
Stormbreaker
By: Anthony Horowitz
My Edition Published in: 2005
Published By:Walker Books
Number of Pages: 236
Favorite Quote: "Killing is for grown-ups and your're still a child."
The Blurb: When his guardian dies in suspicious circumstances fourteen year old Alex Rider finds his world turned upside down.
Within days he's gone from school boy to super spy forcibly recruited into MI6, Alex has to take part in grueling SAS training exercises; then, armed with his own special set of secret gadgets, he's off on his first mission. But Alex soon finds himself in mortal danger. it looks as if his first assignment may well be his last....
My Thoughts
Wow Alex Rider is Brilliant. I adored this book what a Brilliant first book to the Series fast paced, Action filled and that's the first couple of chapters. This book was a Reread for me I first read this book/Series way back in year 9 and fell in love with the plot the chractures and the series as a whole so what's Storm breaker about. Meet Alex he is 14 year old living in London with his American guardian and in the first couple of pages Alex's world is turned upside down and he finds out is Uncle Ian Rider has died in a Mysterious circumstances and Alex goes and investigates his death and it leads him to MI6 were he finds out that his uncle was in fact a spy and Mr Blunt kind of forces Alex to go on a mission to Cornwall to investigate Herod Sayle and his Stormbreaker Computers. Before Alex goes he gets equipped with cool gadgets disguised as a game boy and computer game gadgets and it was this part that drew me in when I was age 14 the everyday things that can be turned into cool spy gadgets I loved that bit and so wished that my game boy was a high tech xray machine or that my zit cream tube was a cream to put on metal to escape. Alex goes to Cornwall and meets the very evil and sadistic Herod Sayle and Mr Grin and Nadia Vole and from the off Alex has to deal with the fact that this man ordered to kill his uncle. Alex gets to test the storm breaker computer. Alex gets into trouble several times and gets into very dangerous situations and I like that sense of danger that he faces when taking up this mission. I don't want to say too much because i don't want to spoil the book too much I loved the ending I didn't see it coming and i can not wait to read what happens to Alex in the next book it obvious MI6 is not letting him go in the future. I loved the Charctures and I can not wait to explore them in future books and to refresh my mind. This is a great first book to kick off the series and I for one can not wait to read the next book. a spy tastic 5/5 stars :)
